Met Adetomiwa today! I went and saw him in his play ‘Lionboy’, which was really cool. It was quite clearly targeted at kids, and I was one of the very few people there who didn’t belong to an elementary school class, but I still really enjoyed it. The way they used the stage with lightning and props etc was amazing and Adetomiwa was sort of acting and storytelling at the same time, which I liked.
Then I waited at the stage door afterward hoping to see him, and when I went up to him I don’t think he realised I was there for him, but when I (after some incoherent stuttering) told him I was there because I liked him in Merlin he seemed really happily surprised and we talked for a bit and I asked for a photo. And then we kind of did the thing where we said good bye but started walking in the same direction, so we walked for a few minutes together. I was so awkward but he just kept talking, asking what I was gonna do later and talking about how people from greenpeace had been demonstrating by climbing on the Shard (?). When I said I didn’t know what I was gonna do later he said I should go to the park or something in the nice weather, so I did. I went to Hyde Park and had a long walk because Adetomiwa Edun told me to :D
